FEED MY LAMBS…TAKE CARE OF MY SHEEP!

Once again African Enterprise (AE) has been able to reach out, in partnership with other ministries, to bring some food relief to our impoverished brothers and sisters who continue to suffer under the burden of unemployment, the ravages of COVID and the aftermath of the unrest of July 2021.

AE secured One hundred and Sixty (160) food parcels for distribution to those in most dire need in four communities around Pietermaritzburg, the names of which were provided by Pastors from local churches within the respective communities.

Food parcels en-route to those in desperate need

Forty (40) food parcels were distributed in Maqgnonqo (also known as ‘Table Mountain’) – a rural area on the eastern outskirts of Pietermaritzburg. The people there were touched by the food parcel and the spiritual encouragement that they received during our distribution and three of them gave their lives to Christ. One of the recipients (Ms Mvealase) said that she had been praying for God’s intervention in her desperate situation. Both her mother and sister succumbed to the battle against COVID leaving her with the responsibility of having to take care of her brothers (all of whom are unemployed and depend on social grants) and her deceased sister’s child. Her response to our outreach and ministry was, “I feel I have hope now.”
