“Hullo Friends”, says MICHAEL,

“Just a little reflection on the fact that today, August 12, is the 62nd anniversary of the opening of the Mission to Maritzburg in 1962. I remember it so well, and it was the first time PMB had ever seen a traffic jam at 7pm! It was all such a demonstration of God’s faithfulness because so many people had said that the City Hall couldn’t be filled for more than 3 days in a row. We had booked it for 2 weeks, and the Lord filled that hall the entire time.

And my joyful testimony now is that we have seen that same faithfulness manifested thousands of times across these last 62 years. So, if any of you today are in any troubles or difficulties, I want to assure you of the glorious faithfulness of God.

Psalm 89:33 says “I will not remove from him/her my steadfast love, or be false to my faithfulness. I will not violate my covenant or alter the word that went forth from my lips.”

At the beginning of that psalm (vs 1,2), the psalmist gives his own testimony: “I will sing of Thy steadfast love, O Lord, forever; with my mouth I will proclaim Thy faithfulness to all generations. For Thy steadfast love was established forever, Thy faithfulness is firm as the heavens.”

My own testimony is enshrined in the title of a new book I’ve written, hopefully to come out next year, entitled Great is Thy Faithfulness. And I’m sure you know the song of the same name.

Anyway, August 12th for me always stands as a day to celebrate God’s faithfulness as we experienced it back in 1962 and all the days since then.

So be encouraged. WHATEVER is happening in your life today still has behind it the promise of God’s unswerving faithfulness to you.”
