“I Believe”…from Helplessness to Hopefulness!
It was a bitterly cold 12° morning in Sibangweni, Libode District, Mthatha, as a team of AE missioners set out for street ministry burning within with the Holy Spirit Fire!
While most residents stay indoors, bundled up against the icy wind sweeping through Sibangweni, this courageous team of missionaries, clothed with the armour of God, braved the cold with one mission – to plunder the kingdom of darkness and bring light to the lost!
Sure, the streets were nearly deserted, but divine appointments never freeze over. Their appointment that morning was with Samkelo, a laborer at a nearby farmstead, whose heart was heavy with grief. Two weeks earlier, Samkelo’s two-year old daughter had pulled a kettle of boiling water onto herself, leaving her in a critical condition in hospital. He was weighed down by fear, pain, and helplessness.
But we know a Name that is above every name — even above medical reports.
We shared the hope of Jesus Christ with Samkelo and reminded him that no situation is beyond God’s power. As we prayed a powerful, faith-filled prayer for healing and divine intervention, something shifted.
A smile slowly spread across his face — one that said, “I believe.”
May his daughter’s healing be the next miracle we testify about.
Please join us in continuing to pray for her full recovery. Jesus is still our Healer!
“He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” – Psalm 107:20
